Editorial policy
How we verify rollouts, label what we cannot confirm and correct mistakes.
1. What counts as a rollout
A launch, pilot, deadline or rule that a bank, its technology vendor or a regulator has announced in public. Rankings and surveys are reported as data, not rollouts.
2. Source hierarchy
We rank sources in this order: regulator rulebooks and official guidelines; bank press releases and filings; vendor press releases and customer stories; reputable press; everything else. Each story lists its sources at the end.
3. Labels
- Vendor-reported: figures published by a technology vendor that we have not independently verified.
- Pilot: anything described as a test, field test or limited roll-out, even if a bank calls it a launch.
- Primary source pending: a claim widely reported that we have not found in the regulator’s or bank’s own publication.
4. No invented people or numbers
We never invent sources, quotes, banks or statistics. Quotes are verbatim and attributed.
5. Corrections
If we get a fact wrong, we fix it and add a dated correction note to the story. Report an error.
6. Independence
No bank, vendor or consultancy pays for coverage or reviews a story before publication.
7. Use of AI
We may use AI tools for research and translation drafts. Every fact is checked by a person against its source.
